Company details
Kuraray Co., Ltd. launched the nonwoven fabric business in 1971, with the founding of Kuraray Chicopee Co. Ltd., initiated as a joint venture business with Johnson & Johnson. The business was later renamed several times before being transferred to Kuraray Kuraflex Co., Ltd., which operates the business today. Throughout a history spanning more than 40 years, we have been able to continue our operations thanks to your support. All the staff of our company would like to extend to you their heartfelt thanks.
Nonwoven fabrics are fiber materials that are extremely useful for making people's lives more convenient. The global nonwoven fabric market is experiencing growth and expansion driven by emerging markets and this is, without a doubt, a growth industry. Nonwoven fabric goods can be expected to reach every corner of the world in the future.
Since our foundation, we have sold a great many nonwoven fabric goods in both domestic and foreign markets. We supply a wide range of products in a multitude of sectors, including sanitary materials, baby and nursing care goods, general industrial goods, and various materials for the food service industry. I am sure you will have seen our nonwoven fabric products in many aspects of daily life.
Recent years have also seen increased product development in pursuit of lighter weight and also functionality such as good filtration qualities.
These innovations constitute a trend towards high added value nonwoven fabrics that are not just disposable. It is no exaggeration to say that nonwovens still have enormous untapped potential.
As a member of the Kuraray Group, Kuraray Kuraflex Co., Ltd. has the potential to apply its proprietary technologies to the unique raw material resins developed by Kuraray group companies to develop completely new materials.
