Company details
Materni’s mission is to develop, manufacture and distribute high-quality, hygienically superior products for safe infant feeding in hospitals. These are suitable for premature babies, neonates and infants in the Paediatric department.
Guaranteed safety
Materni complies with the current guidelines on mechanical, chemical and microbiological criteria for feeding accessories. Our bottles also meet the standard for home use. All products are manufactured in ISO Class 5 and Class 6 clean rooms.
> Mechanical criteria
Our bottles and teats are subjected to specific mechanical testing according to the BS EN 14350-1:2004 standard and are compliant with the EN 14350:2004 standard.
> Chemical criteria
The materials used in all our products and their migrating properties comply with Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 and the BS EN 14350-2:2004 standard.
> Microbiological criteria
You can choose between aseptic or sterile material. Materni sterilises its products by gamma irradiation. This avoids the controversial use of ethylene oxide. Regular tests are carried out to ensure that the microbiological properties remain consistent throughout the production process. Regulation (EEC) No. 2073/2005 is complied with.
