Medical Products Research S.r.l., established in 2005 and based in Legnano, Milan, Italy, specializes in the production of electro-medical equipment and medical devices with a focus on respiratory diseases. This has created the basis for the development of innovative solutions to satisfy patients’ needs. MPR cares for each single breath, restoring to patients those spontaneous sensations that were lost – or so it seemed – in the course of the disease. Thanks to our devices, the care process is as little invasive as possible, offering relief and continuous support to patients. MPR’s goal is to re-establish the patient’s equilibrium, reducing the burden of disease.
MPR specializes in the design and development of medical and electro-medical devices destined for the hospital and home-care market. To guarantee the increasingly specific requirements necessary to satisfy the demands, the company has a team of internal and external collaborators who assure high standards, adding to their own skills a creative flair, flexibility and capacity to adapt. The high quality of the company’s achievements so far has been possible thanks to a constant investment in research and development (R&D), the distinctive hallmark of MPR through which it has revolutionized the market of biomedical products.
Our designs are based on a continuous cooperation with the major hospital institutions with which we work in synergy so as to ensure their maximum efficiency and security based on the high technical level required. To this end, we are in close contact with the scientific community in an ongoing process of having our products clinically recognized and validated.
The firm has in its portfolio several patents recognized at both national and international level. Of importance are the UNI EN ISO 9001 2008 and UNI EN ISO 13485 2004 certifications gained in 2011. Adherence to a certified quality system is indispensable in order to be able to produce articles devoid – to all possible extent – of defects. All these recognitions of the quality of our products have made the firm’s name widely known within the international panorama of respiratory pathophysiology and have led it to gain a prominent position among the companies that are newcomers to the sector.
The first product that MPR launched on the market was UNIKO (now UNIKO-TPEP®E) – available since 2005 – a unique non-invasive electro-medical device that assists in the clearance of secretions from the airways and serves also for nebulized medication delivery (aerosol therapy). In 2006, two new products were launched, FASTERAS and DINAMIKO. The first is an innovative, reliable system combining practicality and ease of use to evaluate pulmonary function using ventilation scintigraphy. The second is a new concept of aerosol therapy device based on a patented technology widely used in the diagnostic field. Then, in 2009, after two years of research, we launched a new system for the removal of secretions, FREE ASPIRE, based on MPR’s patented technology “Vaküm”. Our products are marketed throughout the whole world through a large network of distributors that guarantees to our clients availability, speed of delivery, and reliability.
Our continued research for innovation is supported by consolidated collaboration with some of the best universities in Italy and abroad. This support is indispensable in order to keep up with the constant advance of new, avant-garde technologies in the panorama of scientific research. The fruitful collaboration with scientific institutes, hospitals and universities permits MPR to provide an ever more ready response to the needs of patients.
MPR throughout the world represents an example of dedication to the work it does, which is reflected not only in the quality of its products but above all in its continuing effort and will to sustain its patients – who are the receivers at the end – in the care process.
